Founded in 1990, drawing upon the skills of architecture (Martyn Colebrook), product design and innovation (Peter Bosson) and furniture design (Brenda Saunders) to create new and unique solutions to the technology and furniture interface within the working environment.
Their unique approach rapidly redefined workplace ergonomics and has heavily influenced how people sit and work with computers. CBS has continued to develop innovative and elegant solutions that create a spacious and healthy working environment for people in a range of application areas including trading floors, offices, hospitals, schools, universities, and passenger terminals.
What we set out to do
Colebrook Bosson Saunders have a long standing history in the marketplace for providing market-leading designs. Bing Digital were tasked to deliver a website that shared the same message and showcased the company values and products in the best possible way.
Our creative team works closely with CBS to form a visually impressive front end user journey while our development team delivered an easy to administer CMS and Ecommerce system using defacto standard platforms WordPress and Magento. CBS is a multi-office company with 12 international sites. Our end solution needed to be multi-currency and multilingual ready enabling translations from German to Japanese.
With the visual design of the product base. It was critically important to showcase imagery in the biggest, scalable way for different screen sizes. Something we have accomplished throughout the user journey.

The Planning
The Product Designers at CBS have outstanding attention to detail, this was a value that was paramount with our planning. Identifying the products and users strengths and weaknesses enabled us to plan from original concept, to wireframe. Giving us a educated approach into the UX and UI design.
The Wireframes
Our creative team developed a wireframe for each stage of the user journey. This helped the in house client team to have a strong understanding of our design approach and the reasoning behind it.
